@ Adithya: There is always something wrong somewhere and hence the efforts to fortify or fix have led to the meltdown. If you thought nothing was wrong with the economy, why would you give out home loans worth $800,000 to truck drivers? But the fact still remains that I was sleepy and I am entitled to this rubbish post :) purinjudho noku?

Thanks for the visit !

@ planemad: For you and I, that cold bottle of Pepsi is quite refreshing, but for a little boy with an inflated stomach indicating malnutrition, the fertilizer cocktail as you rightly put it taking priority over a square meal is something that we all need to think about. What happens to responsible branding?

@ Vetti: Completely agree. But the commercial ventures that actually address issues like poverty actually make it. Like the "sachet" concept of Cavin Kare. Have you read "The fortune at the bottom of the pyramid"? I haven't and have heard that it is a real neat book.

P.S: Thank you :)

@ Sagar : I found this idea really out-of-the-box and so quickly blogged about it. I shall update with more information soon! Thanks :)

@ Arvind : Yep you're right. These huge companies behave like service and delight is a luxury we cannot afford to want anymore!

Yeah, Fonolo does seem like a thoughtful company that tries to alleviate a huge grievance, it also points to the unnecessary reason for its existence. That other companies are doing a balls-up job of keeping their customers happy and connected. Not just large companies, but small ones too. Customer service needs to be redefined, but till then Fonolo and getHuman are what can help us retain some sanity
